Introduction

HK Power Club was established in 2017 and is a government-recognized registered charity (Ref. No. 91/15449).

Over the past century, Hong Kong has grown from a small fishing village into today’s vibrant metropolis. Yet behind a population of over seven million lie many livelihood challenges—housing, poverty, an ageing society and environmental issues. With limited social welfare resources, not every core group can be fully served, and some people receive no support simply due to a lack of information.

We therefore launched the “New Vitality Employment Programme,” guided by the mission of “self-reliance and self-help,” to better prepare participants for social integration. We believe everyone has diverse potential; through varied workplace experiences, we help them showcase their abilities. To further promote inclusion, we also established the “Power Club Fruit & Vegetable Processing and Wholesale Service,” a market-oriented social enterprise that enables people with disabilities to thrive in different job roles.

Through interactive games and volunteer-led activities, participants learn in an autonomous and engaging environment, deepening their understanding of “balanced nutritionthree lows and one high (low salt, low sugar, low fat, high fibre)and more vegetables, less meat.” They can then apply this knowledge in daily life to build healthy, balanced eating habits.
